Graduate Programs
The applicants pursue the two-year Master of Arts (M.A.) degree programs in EU Regional Development and Institutional Communication; International Relations and European Studies; Security Studies; and European Security.
Each year the Universities of Siena, Salamanca, Coimbra-Açores, Strasbourg, Jagiellonski in Krakow, Panteion of Athens, Leibniz in Hannover, Oradea, Montpellier I and Maribor organize the Master’s Degree in European Studies “The Process of Building Europe”, on the basis of a multilateral cooperation agreement and with the support of the European Commission. A one-year course of study leading to a post graduate diploma in European Assistance and Secretariat serves the advanced educational needs of young professionals interested in European affairs.
Other one-semester continuing education courses are offered in Project Management, Event Organization, or Biblioteconomy. Development and Information Science.
Momentarily all the above mentioned courses are taught in Romanian.
Starting the academic year 2010-2011, our Department offers another MA program in International Relations and European Studies taught in English.
IRES graduates are known for their language capabilities. Because IRES is deeply committed to the premise that professionals in international service need strong communication skills to work effectively with their counterparts, all M.A. and Ph.D. candidates must demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language.
