International Relations and European Studies

Academics

We are the very first accredited International Relations and European Studies Department (IRES) in Romania to use English as the teaching language. IRES provides a professional education that adheres to the highest standards of scholarship while taking a practical approach to training students for international leadership. Students conduct scholarly research on topical issues confronting governments and organizations around the world and disseminate their findings to a broad audience of policy leaders engaged in international political and economic affairs.

Our alumni work for government agencies, international organizations, investment firms, charitable organizations, financial institutions and businesses and in the fields of diplomacy, education, finance, research, consulting and journalism.

IRES Undergraduate Program

IRES Graduate Programs

IRES also offers unique educational opportunities for mid-career professionals already engaged in the International Relations and European Studies field (MA’s).

IRES offers various MA’s programs. (more)

IRES Post Graduate Programs

IRES graduates are known for their language capabilities. Because IRES is deeply committed to the premise that professionals in international service need strong communication skills to work effectively with their counterparts, all M.A. and Ph.D. candidates must demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language.

In each of these areas—international relations, regional studies and languages—the training at IRES is rigorous, demanding and rewarding. IRES welcomes applications from those willing to meet the challenge.
