Welcome
A WORD FROM THE DEAN
We are a young Department, housed within the Faculty of History, Geography and International Relations, with roots no older than 2003, but we have come a long way. In the last few years our Department has established itself as one of the top Departments of International Relations and European Studies in the country. Our quality teaching contributes greatly to the development of knowledge and knowledge transfer. We are assisting students in the continuous development through proper academic environments that provide a wide range of opportunities varying from comparative studies, internships within government and private institutions, exchange programs (study abroad), national and international conferences and workshops, research programs, to certification in applied languages (Business, Diplomacy, International Relations, etc).
2010 is the year when we have decided that it is time for a new challenge to be undertaken: International Relations and European Studies with English as the teaching language. This takes us to the top leading position, as we are the very first accredited International Relations and European Studies Department in Romania to use English as the teaching language.
Of course, much work remains to be done. The education process needs to be continuous in order to provide meaningful support for the development of more knowledgeable, informed and caring citizens of the World.
Welcome aboard!
